CDM w/il make waste quantity projections for the life of the exisiing <br /> County landfill as well as the planning period 1990-2020. The waste <br /> generation projections and characterizations shall be presented in a <br /> . indicating source wastes by municipality and, to the <br /> tabular <br /> form <br /> the <br /> of <br /> extent possible, the classification of the waste (e.g., residential, <br /> commercial, industrial, demolition/construction). CDM will prepare <br /> estimates of solid waste generation rates and quantities for the landfill <br /> and the entire county, using population projections and estimates of future <br /> per capita solid waste generation rates based on current rates. These <br /> estimates will be made at S-year increments over a 20-year planning period, <br /> estimating seasonal variations. <br /> any <br /> <br /> TASK III -- ASSESSMENT OF REFUSE COLLECTION PRACTICES <br /> <br /> Under this task. the existing solid waste collection system w/thin Cabarrus <br /> County will be analyzed, particularly to determine the present levels of <br /> service provided and to identify areas in which serxqco voids may exist. To <br /> accomplish this, telephone interviews w/Il be held with responsible <br /> representatives of each public and private collection entity. Information <br /> gathered will be presented in tabular and graphic formats. <br /> <br />Under this task, alternative collection approaches (e.g., contract, municipal, <br />open, etc..) w/Il be identified and evalualed.
