Policy on Children in the Senior Center <br /> <br /> It is the policy of the Cabarrus County Senior Center to be open to senior <br /> adults age 60 and over. Children are ~elcome in the senior center only under <br /> the following conditions: <br /> <br /> 1) When participating with a group in an intergenerational activity sponsored <br /> and supervised by the eenter~s staff. <br /> <br />2) ~en accompanying an adult applyin§ for services. <br /> <br />3) ~en actidg in a volunteer capacity. <br /> <br /> The adult is responsible for the child's supervision and care. <br /> <br /> Children are not ~elcome at the center under the following conditions: <br /> <br />1) ~en accompanying adult participating in Title III SSBG or state funded <br /> services such as congregate meals, transportation, etc. <br /> <br /> 2)When accompanying adults to center sponsored activities intended for <br /> senior adults (i.e., classes, recreational activities). <br /> <br />Visits by staffSs children should be kept at a minimum, be of short duration, <br />and should not interfere with office routine. <br /> <br /> <br />
