Planning and Zoning Commission Minutes <br />Auqust 15~ Paqe <br /> 1991 <br /> 21 <br /> <br /> allow them to submit a development Plan under the current <br /> zoning before the changed zoning comes into place. <br /> <br /> Chairperson Randall asked if the Board could review this. <br /> <br /> Mr. Alexander asked Mr. Marshall who drew this text <br /> amendment. <br /> <br /> Mr. Marshall stated Mr. Downs drew the text amendment. <br /> <br /> Mr. Alexander asked if the text amendment that is before <br /> this Board, he takes it from the comments that were made, <br /> that it does not correspond with the law that was <br /> enacted. In other words, is it copied word for word from <br /> the law. And it did not with the <br /> secondarily, <br /> correspond <br /> model that was given by the Centralina Council of <br /> Government. Mr. Alexander asked Mr. Downs if he was <br /> satisfied that this complies with the law that was <br /> enacted recently by the Legislature. <br /> <br /> It was requested that Mr. Alexander review the text <br /> amendment to ensure that it meets the intent of the <br /> legislation. <br /> <br /> After discussion and comments from the Board, Mr. <br /> Hurlocker MOTIONED to approve the zoning ordinance text <br /> amendment as submitted, seconded by Mr. Moose. The vote <br /> was 9-0. <br /> <br />Chairperson Randall introduced the sixth item on the Agenda, <br />Subdivision Extension: <br /> <br />6. Applicant: Bill Whitley <br /> Request: Subdivision Extension <br /> <br /> This was a request to the Cabarrus County Planning and <br /> Zoning Commission from Mr. Bill Whitley to hawe his <br /> ~eliminary subdivision Britley extended for 1 year. <br /> <br /> Staff Member, Jonathan Marshall, presented the extension <br /> request to the Board stating the new ordinance was <br /> changed year preliminary approvals. <br /> to <br /> allow <br /> two <br /> This <br /> fell under the. old ordinance which only allowed one year <br /> preliminary approval. Work has continued on this <br /> development, and the promised turn lanes were constructed <br /> for this development on Robinson Church Road. <br /> <br /> <br />
