Planning and Zoning Commission Minutes
Auqust 15~ 1991 Paqe 22

There being no further comments, Mr. Moose MOTIONED,
seconded by Mr. Amos to approve the preliminary extension
request for Britley Subdivision. The vote was 9-0.

Staff Report
?
Mr. Marshall stated he has two items to bring up on the
staff report, the by the Commissioners of the
passage
subdivision regulations and a revision to the fee
schedule. This new ordinance allows for what we call a
conveyance plat for subdivisions that result in five or
less lots and require no public improvement, that is
water and sewer or public dedication of right-of-way. We
need a fee~to charge for those conveyance plats and we
recommend ~at ten ($10.00) dollars per new lot be that
fee. For i~tance if a conveyance plat was given to us
where a la~ tract was divided into three lots, that
would resul~in two new building lots and twenty ($20.00)
would be the fee that would be charged. In return for
that review which is by the Planning and Zoning
Department and Land Records Department, we will be
providing to them an address at that time to be placed on
that map which is recorded with the deeds for all new
lots as well as the parcel identification number which is
used in our permitting
process.

Mr. Smith questioned whether or not this fee was adequate
to cover the staff time involved in review.

After discussion and comments were made by the Board, Mr.
Murlocker MOTIONED, seconded by Mr. Amos to approve this
fee schedule. The vote was 8-1, Mr. Smith dissenting.

Mr. Marshall stated that work has begun on the Midland
Area Land Use Plan, and the first meeting will be held on
August 22, 1991. In this area plan there will be three
community meetings. The first will be an issues meeting,
which will be simply asking the residents to provide them
~ith issues that they feel relate to the future growth
and development of that community or specific goals that
they have. The second will be a solutions meeting where
they will come back with a list of issues and ask the
residents as groups, to work on recommendations and
solutions that addrqss those issues. The third will be
something here at the Governmental Center, a drop in type
meeting, where those recommendations will be presented
back to the residents of the area.
