Water Supply Protection <br />Page 2 <br />January 30, 1990 <br /> <br /> In addressing the intent of House Bill 156 a Watershed <br />Protection Advisory Council has been'formed to assist in <br />developing rules and guidelines for watershed protection. Eight <br />of the nineteen members of the Advisory Council are local <br />government representatives. The remaining members are <br />representatives of appropriate State government agencies or <br />special interest groups. This council will have its first <br />meeting in February. It is anticipated that the council will <br />address numerous issues as they develop recommendations <br />cpncerning watershed protection standards. <br /> <br /> We will keep you informed of new developments with resDect to <br />these issues.
