6 <br /> <br /> F. School vs. CountY-owned Facilities (Public and Private Schools of Cabarrus <br /> County and City of KannapOlis) <br /> <br /> 1. As mutually agreed, no charges are assessed by either party <br /> for use of outdoor areas, fields, or courts. Availability of <br /> all facilities is based Upon the primary user having pfflority <br /> and the Secondary user requesting access during available periods <br /> (Monday-Friday g~00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.). Ail requests of use <br /> of outdoor areas and facilities must be in written form and <br /> approved by the Director of Parks and Recreation. <br /> <br /> G. Revenue Producing Facilities will be developed in parks to Supplement <br /> General Fund revenue and to provide ~he public the broadest possible <br /> offering of recreational opportunities, The number and type of facilities <br /> shall be gauged to provide desired services Without acquiring a commercial <br /> image. The service in itself must be the first priority in determining <br /> the need and standard of operation for the facility. <br /> <br /> 1. As a basic resource of the park system, special facilities shall <br /> be constructed With public funds and, depending on the nature <br /> of the Service they provide, Operated and maintained from user <br /> fee revenues. <br /> <br /> 2. General Fund appropriations shall be Used to support the operation <br /> of the revenue producing special facilities at such times that <br /> revenue is inadequate to maintain that facility <br /> cash <br /> flow <br /> from <br /> to the high standard of service necessary. <br /> <br /> VI. SPECIAL CONSIDERATION FORFEES AND CHARCES VARTANCES <br /> <br /> A. Established fees and charges may be waived Or reduced by the Director <br /> of Parks and Recreation if in his/her judgement it would be in the best <br /> interest of the individuals or a specific program. <br /> <br /> B. Cabarrus County Senior Citizens Groups of over the age of fifty-five <br /> (55), park facilities that are open will be provided at no cost during <br /> Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> C. Cabarrus County Funded Agencies shall be granted special consideration <br /> in the form of reduced rates or free use of park facilities that are <br /> open during Monday - Friday 8~00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> D. Stonewall Jackson School students shall be permitted access to the park <br /> during the times when the park is normally accessible to the public <br /> and at other times upon securing permission in advance. <br /> <br /> E. Corporate Sponsors or Friends of the Park, Group approved by the Advisory <br /> Commission will be permitted to utilize one park facility per year free <br /> of charge. <br /> <br />.._. F. Cabarrus County Parks a~d Recreation Permanent Employees shall be granted <br /> free use of park facilities on a l[mlted basis and fees waived for <br /> instructional classes to all employees and their immediate family. <br /> Athletics will not figure in this waiver. <br /> <br /> <br />
