NOW, THEREFORE,, BE IT RESOLVED that the Concord-Cabarrus County <br /> Chamber of Commerce requests that the Cabarrus County <br /> Commissioners revise the current tax auditing practices <br /> sending the signal to our business community and <br /> industry throughout t~e world that Cabarrus County is <br /> the place to locate future business, and that the <br /> relationship between business and government is one of <br /> hazmony with the ultimate goal of prosperity for all <br /> .concerned; and <br /> <br />FURTHER RESOLVED that the Governor of North Carolina, the North <br /> Carolina General Assembly, and the North Carolina <br /> Department of Economic and Community Development are <br /> encouraged to consider legislation that would mandate <br /> that all county and municipal governments enter <br /> contracts with any tax auditing entity on a fee basis <br /> rather than a commission basis to preserve the <br /> relationship between government and business vital to <br /> the continued economic growth of our great state. <br /> <br />FURTHER RESOLVED that the Concord-Cabarrus County Chamber of · <br /> Commerce requests that the taxation formula applied by <br /> Cabarrus County and the collection of taxes due should <br /> be evenly applied to all business and industry alike, <br /> thereby creating fair and equal taxation for all. <br /> <br /> Concord-Cabarrus County <br /> Chamber of Commerce <br /> <br /> <br />
