COMPONENT ONE MASTER PLAN PURPOSE STATEMENT WiTH GOALS AND OBJECTIVES Wool_uert Consultants A. Woolpert Consultants will organize a project start-up meeting with the County Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission and representatives of the Parks and Recreation Department, both ofwhomwill antivelyparticipalein theassignmant. Individualproject responsibilities and the time frame for completing the tasks will be shared whh the Project Team. Background information, such as previously prepared studies, demographic dam, land use plans, existing park and recreation facilities data, maps and pertinent County o?dinances will be reviewed by the Project Team. All subsequent Project Team meetings ~4tl be coordinated and directed by Woolpert Consultants. B. Woolpeat Consultants will work closely with the Project Team in identifying specific goals and objectives to be embodied in the Master Plan. Emphasis will be placed upon the assessment of current and future recreation and park needs over the next five, ten and fifteen year periods. C. Woolpert Consultants will be responsible for formatting, typing and quality contxol of the entire report. parks a~d Recreation Adviso _fy Commission A. Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission will participate in the start-up meeting by assisting in the formulation of the goals and objectives of the Master Plan. B. Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission will participate in the establishment of the format of the public involvement forum in which citi~n participation will be actively solicited. Parks and Recreation Department A. Parks and Recreation Department will participate in the start-up meeting by assisting in the formulation of the goals and objectives of the Master Plan. B. Parks and Recreation Department will be responsible for providing all available information pertinent to the project including all available demographic data, previously prepared studies and plans; maps and applicable county ordinances. C. Parks and Recreation Department will be responsible for contacting a representative of the Board of Education of Cabarms County and the City of Kannapolls, the Cabarrus County Planning Department and the Cabarrus County Board of Commi~ion to invite them to participate in the process for developing the Master Plan.
