BOX 387 Phone: 704/788-6130 <br /> Concord, North Carolina 28026-0387 <br /> <br /> January 11, 1989 <br /> <br /> cabarrus County Finance Officer <br /> P.O. ~ox 707 <br /> Concord: North Carolina 28026-0707 <br /> <br /> Dear Mike: <br /> <br /> This will advise you that the Cabarrus County Agricultural Extension <br /> Service has receised a grant in the amount of $1400 which shall be used <br /> to deliver contractual services in support of the Expanded Food and Nutrition <br /> <br /> As you know, Cabarrus Couuty has ~hree (3) EFNEP aides that are working <br /> specifically in teaching nutrition to iow income families in Cabarrus County. <br /> This is a federally funded program with Cabarrus County providing offices <br /> and some supplies. Locally, the program is under the direct supervision <br /> of Nrs. Doris Rogers, Home Ecsnomics Extension Agent. <br /> <br /> An innovative project proposal was submitted to the North Carolina <br /> Agricultural Extension Service for a grant primarily to be used for equipment, <br /> supplies, visual aids, rental meeting space, and teaching materials. This <br /> is outlined on page f~3 of the attached proposal. <br /> <br /> A Memorandum of Agreement Ks attached regarding acceptance of this <br /> grant and needs to be signed by an official with Cabarrus County. Please <br /> have the appropriate signature affixed and return for signature from this <br /> office, and be submitted to the state office for signature. As you can <br /> see, payment will be made within thirty (30) days after execution of this <br /> agreement. <br /> <br /> A budget revision is also attached to reflect the grant payment to <br /> be received. I would appreciate yon having these forms processed.
