For AdoleScent Healt]~ Activity, the Departr~nt agrees to (1) have <br /> responsibility for the immediate direCtion and suPerviSion of the <br /> activities supported through the contract, which will be conducted in <br /> accordance with the amended plan/update sulmtitted by the Depa~h~ent; <br /> (2) sukntit any media mterial, in writing, to the Maternal and Child <br /> Health Branch Prior to release to the public for approval from the <br /> ~hternal and Child Health Branch; (3) submit progress reports in meeting <br /> project objectives within 30 days of each payment period; (4) sul~t an <br /> evaluation report d~onstrating achievement of stated goals no later <br /> than August 15, 1990. <br /> <br />D. PERS(lqNFL POLICIES <br /> <br /> ~]e Deparb~ent sh~l adhere to and fully cc~ply with State personnel <br /> policies as found in North Carolina General Statute, Chapter 126, and 1 MCAC <br /> 8. Such policies include, but are not limited to, the following: <br /> <br /> 1. Equal employment opportunity; <br /> <br /> 2. Affir~Ttlve action; <br /> <br /> 3. Policies for local government ~ployment subject to the State <br /> Personnel ACt; <br /> <br /> 4. "Local Classification and Salary Range"; <br /> <br /> 5. "Conpensation Policy for Local Cc~petitiv~ Services Fmployees"; and <br /> <br /> 6. "Recruitment and Selection Policy and Procedures" <br /> <br /> 7. Sanitarians ~m~ploye~ by the DePartment shall be delegatc~ authority <br /> by the State to administer and enforce State sanitation rules and <br /> laws as directed by the State purS~aant to G.S. 130A-4(b). This <br /> delegation shall be done according to 10 NCAC 10A .2300. <br /> <br /> a. Local health departments are responsible for sending their <br /> nc~;ly-employed public health sanitarians (interns) to 20 days of <br /> ir~itial field training/orientation at one of the designated <br /> training centers within 90 days frcra date of ~mployment. <br /> <br /> b. The employing health department shall reimburse the training <br /> center{s) $25 per day for providing initial field <br /> training/orientation for the newly-~ployed public health <br /> sanitarian. <br /> <br /> c. Initial field training/orientation centers shall be paid within <br /> 90 days by the employing health department for services <br /> rendered. <br /> <br /> <br />
