MEMORANDUM Office o! <br /> <br />TO: county Official <br /> <br />FROM: Bill Tillman <br /> State Demographer <br /> Office of State Budget and Management <br /> <br />SUBJECT: 1988 Balance of County Population Estimates <br /> <br /> The purpose of this memo is to inform you of both the FINAL certified <br />and the FINAL official estimates of the July 1, 1988 permanent resident <br />population of your county excluding municipalities. These estimates include <br />our internal pevisions and/of chan~es based on the information supplied to <br />us by municipalities'within your county. The Certified estimate ia used <br />exclusively fop the purposes of distpibuting state-shared revenues to county <br />governments ~nd uses municipal boundaries as of July 1, 1989. It is flagged <br />with two asterisks (##) in the table below, ~]e official estimate is used <br />fop planning phrposes and uses municipal boundapies as of July 1, 1988. It <br />is flagged with a single asterisk (*) in the table below. The July 1, 1988 <br />total county population estimate, which was used as a control in generating <br />both of these estimates, is also listed for reference. <br /> <br /> If you have questions or comments concerning this information, wish <br />assistance in interpreting either estimate, of would like clarification of the <br />methods used in preparing the estimates, please contact Ms. Li Chang, Ms. <br />Sharon Rains, of me (116 West Jones St., Raleigh, N.
