For redesign done by the Engineer at the request of the Owner after receiving the approval of preliminary plans, the Engineer will be paid a fee based on the hourly rates as shown in Number 9. 8. For services during readvert~sement for bids for construction, the Engineer will receive reimbursement based on the rates as shown in Number g. 9. Rates and cha~ges for engineering services shall be based on direct personnel exp~nses, plus direct reimbursable expense at cost, The established rates are: Engineer, $45,00 per hour; Secretary, $15,00 per hour. (Rates will be valid until July 1, 1989.) Direct reiumbursable expenses: a. Travel at twenty-five cents per mile, plus time at above rate, plus actual out-of-pocket personal expenses. b. Long distance telephone, telegraph and postage at actual cost. c. Cost of printing, drafting and other materials required for the job at actual cost. i0. For preparing application forms and completing supporting data for federal, state or local agencies, the Engineer will be paid by the Owner based on the rates listed in Number 9. Part V General Conditions All invoices for engineering services will be due within ten (10) days after the date of the invoice and no part shall be withheld on account of delays or performance of Contractor, or to ~over the cost of work not specified but which the Owner may consideK necessary or desirable. The Owner will provide such legal, accounting and insurance counseling services as may be required for the project. In accepting this Proposal, the Owner accepts all parts thereof, but performance of each part shall be initiated as directed by the Owner in writing for each miscellaneous project. The plans and specifications will be completed by the Engineer within a reasonable time.
