BYLAWS <br /> <br /> CABARRUS COUNTY COU}iCIL FOR WOHEN <br /> <br /> ARTICLE I - <br /> <br /> The name of this organization shall be the Cabarrus County Council for Women. <br /> <br /> ARTICLE II - PUKPOSE <br /> <br /> The purpose of this Council shall be: <br /> <br /> 1. To identify the needs and proble~ of wo~en in Csbarrus County. <br /> <br /> 2. To increase public understanding of the problems, needs, and abilities of <br /> women, and to serve as a clearing house of information regarding the afore- <br /> mentioned. <br /> <br /> 3. To act as a catalytic agency in the pursuit of solutions for the problems of <br /> vomen, to identify resources, and to seek new solutions to better answer the <br /> needs of women. <br /> <br /> 4. To disse~inate information on the status of women. <br /> <br /> 5. Term: Hembers shall be appointed for a term ~hich ends at the February <br /> 1983 meeting. At the February 1983 meeting, 1/3 of the members shall <br /> be elected for a three year term~ 1/3 of the members for a two year <br /> term, and 1/3 of the members for a one year term. At each annual <br /> meeting thereafter, 1/3 of the members shall be appointed for three <br /> year terms. A member may be reappointed at the expiration of a three <br /> year term by a simple majority vote of the members present at a regularly <br /> scheduled Council ~eeting. There is no ltmi~ on the number of terms a <br /> member may serve. <br /> <br /> ARTICLE IV - OFFICERS <br /> <br /> Section 1, Officers Defined: The officers of the Council shall consist of a <br /> Chairperson, a Vice Chairperson, a Secretary and a Treasurer elected <br /> by the Council fro~ its membership. <br /> <br /> <br />
