P~QU£ST TO .UPDATE CABAP, RUS COUN~ HEA.LTH DEPARTmeNT <br /> <br /> FINANCIAL ELIGIBILITY HANUAL <br /> <br />As stated tn the DHS Re~mburse. ment Guidance and recent review of <br />the Cabarrus County Health Department Perinatal Program, financial <br />eligibility requirements may not be more restrictive than those <br />established .by the General Assembly for non-medicaid programs. <br />Also, "the charging of a nominal fee is not permitted to those <br />clients who fall below the federal poverty guidelines." <br /> <br />In an effort to update the Caharrus County Eligibility Hanual it <br />is reco~ended that the $1.00 charge to all maternity, family <br />planning, child health, and orthopedic clinic patieuts be <br />discontinued. It is recommended this charge be discontinued <br />effective February l, 1985. <br /> <br />Note: The Cabarrus County Health Department has not recently been <br /> charging family planning patients the $1.00 fee which is in <br /> accordance with the Family Planning Program guidelines. <br /> is only included above for future reference and clarity <br /> policy /or all programs involved. <br /> <br /> <br />
