I. Cr~ss-Conneetians <br /> <br /> Cross-connections are express}y prohibited, end <br />may result in removal of meter supplying such connection as <br />well as all other penalties, civil or criminal, provided by <br />law. An example Of this would be the inter-connection of e <br />well water supply with a potable public water supply. Upon <br />discovery of a cross-connection upon any property being <br />furnished water through the County Water System, the owner <br />of the property ie to be notified that the cross-connection <br />must be discontinued immediateiy~ and, that a tailure to <br />remove or correct the cross-connection will result in the <br />removal of his meter. If the correction is not made, the <br />meter is to be removed and is not to be reinstalled without <br />payment of the standard cut on fee and a $25.00 penalty. <br /> <br /> J. Ipsoection of Plumbin~ <br /> <br /> The County reserves the right to make e meter <br />reading(s) and inspect the plumbing on a cust6mer's <br />property. This may be done in the case of an abnormally <br />large water bill, in cases of extreme water wastage, use of <br />water detrimental to the County System, or other reasons <br />deemed necessary by the County. <br /> <br /> K. Discontinuance of Service <br /> <br /> Request for discontinuance of water service must <br />be received by the County at least twenty-four (24) hours <br />prior to requested cut-off. All water charges must be paid <br />including water used to the time of cut-off. No liability <br />will be assumed by the County for damage to customer's <br />property resulting from discontinuance of service. <br /> <br /> L. Suspension of Service <br /> <br /> A delinquent water bill of ten (10) days from <br />due date, as well aa other causes specified herein (see, for <br />example, cause set out in Section Ii, Subsection "Right to <br />Not Allow Service"), will constitute grounds for suspension <br />of eervice, in addition, a property owner may request <br />removal of his meter. In order to have service restored or <br />the meter reinstalled, the standard cut-on fee as listed in <br />the rate schedule must be paid aa specitied herein, plus any <br />unpaid water charges~ provided, however, that service will <br />not be suspended without the County first sending notice <br />of 1ts intention to suspend service to the last known, or <br />best known, addrees of the customer. A person purchasing <br />property where the meter has been removed for non-payment of <br />bills will become a new customer and may obtain services by <br />paying the standard meter deposit and cut-on fee. <br /> <br /> 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
