IntroduCtion: <br /> <br />Over the )asr several weeks, the Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Advisory <br />Commission has studied several proposals for recomnended construction during <br />the 1982-83 Fiscal Year at Frank Liske Park. Development options studi6d ranged <br />from a proposed development program of S516,/00 to S315,400. (Se~ attachments <br /> <br /> I thruIV for options studied by Recreation Finance Committee.) <br /> <br />The Planning and ~inance Committee met numerobs times during the months of <br />February and Marcb to review the various proposed development options. The <br />purpose of these meetings was to allow the Commission the opportunity to es- <br />tablish priorities[ In addition, on March 9, 1982, the Planning and Finance <br />Comni~tee met with County Commission Liaisons to seek input from our elected <br />officials on the proposed budget. <br /> <br />PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />Meeting in a regular monthly meeting on February 23, 1982, with the full member- <br />shio represented, the Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission <br />approved a recommended 1982-83 Capital Outlay Budget totaling $344,500.for Frank <br />Liske Park. A'd~tail analysis of the proposed elements of this'Budget can be <br />reviewed in the next section of this Proposal. <br /> <br />PROJECTED OPERATION COST: <br /> <br />O~ April 24, 1980, the Cabarrus Board of County"Commissioners was submitted a <br />proposed Capital Outlay Plan for a Two Fiscal Year period for Stonewall Jackson <br />Park[Frank Liske Park). In that Plan, a cost of operation was projected for [he <br />Park during its first full year of operations. Althongh the:facilities scheduled <br />for completion at that ~ime vary from the facilities actually planned to be com- <br />pleted if ~he proposed 1982-83 Fiscal Budget is accepted, the projected cost of <br />operation is similar to the cost being projected for the next fiscal year. <br /> <br />The following comoarisons indicate the t980 projected operating expenses as <br />opposed to the 1982-83 proposed operating expenditures for Frank Liske Park. <br /> <br /> <br />
