For example, an individual may contact the program office <br />at 786-9217 to request consideration of a special project, or program <br />officials may seek the opinion of a local minister as to the needs <br />of the area his church serves~ <br /> <br />Procedure for filing objections to'the approval of the application by HUD. <br />Citizens wishing to object to the approval of an application by HUD <br />may make such objections known to the Greensboro HUD Area Office, 415 <br /> <br />N. Edgeworth Avenue, Greensboro, North Carolina 27401. HUD will <br />consider objections made only on the following grounds: That Cabarrus <br />County's description of needs and objections is plainly inconsistent <br />with available facts and data; the activities to be undertaken are <br />plainly inappropriate to meeting the needs and objectives identified <br />in its application; the application does not comply with the require- <br />ment~ CDBG regulations or other laws; the activities proposed are in- <br />eligible under CDBG regulations. <br /> <br />Objections should include .an identification of the grounds upon which <br /> <br />an objection is being made and the data on which the objection is based. <br /> <br />HUD will consider, objections submitted at any time but they should be <br /> <br />filed within thirty ('~0) days of the Notice to Public of Request for <br /> <br />Release of Funds to insure they are considered during the Review of <br /> <br />the Application. HUD will not approve am application until at least <br />forty-five (45) days after the application is received. <br />Citizen participation in PROGRAM I¥~LEMENTATION will occur primarily ~.~. <br />through consultation with the Advisory Committee. They will be asked <br />to'review and comment on specific guidelines for approved projects, <br />such as the indoor bathroom installations. They will also meet to <br />review any program amendments, budget revisions, and program/Housing <br />AssiStance Program (HAP) modifications, including the eleqtion of local <br /> <br /> <br />
