,EXPL.ANATION AND REASONS FOR PARKING ASSIGNmeNTS AND ALLOCAT%ONS Ail first floor Department H~ads, Judges and District Attorneys park between sally port and Tax Office, Notice that because of an undersupply of spaces, County employees from other offices, i.e., Buildings A, B, C and Health Department, having business in the Courthouse, three (3) parking spaces have been provided instead of two (2). Notice also that in addition to three (3) Probation spaces required for personnel in the Courthouse that two (2) spaces are provided for the five (5) em- ployees in the Kannapolis office that must come regularly to the Courthouse. There are a total of twenty-one (21) spaces assigned for Sheriff's vehicles as was the case with the last parking plan. In addition, one (1) space for a bailiff and two (2) spaces for visiting law enforcement w~re added, i;e.. Kannapolis, Concord police, S.B.I., etc These spaces may be used by the County Commissioners when not used by visiting law enforcement personnel. Please note that as space cannot be provided on a daily basis for Highway Patrol etc., having business with the courts. They will be required to park in parking spaces seventy throug~ one-hundred eight (70-108) with the general public. Also as shown by the last plan, one (1) space has been reserved for a County Commissioner (Chairman). The two (2) handicapped parking spaces are near the walk not re- quiring steps. Any vehicle parked in this space must display a handicapped sign as assigned by the State License Bureau. With the exception of any new, CETA or part-time employees that will have to park in area designated for the general public, there. are a total of thirty-nine (39) parking spaces to be utilized by those with business at the Courthouse.
