-2- <br /> <br />Aging <br />The aging program staff as oarr of its strategy to treat each county as if it <br />were an Area Agency on Aging, held individual county planning and nriority setting <br />meetings for next year's program. This included Nutrition, Servicesf and <br />Employment programs, and each counties choices were~ratified by the regional <br />advisory committee, and translated into RFP's. The staff is now trying to balmnce <br />the proposals received with the funds available, to be able ro submit the final <br />plan for future contracting. This has re~.uired much time and assistance to <br />individual operators. <br /> <br />Title ~ <br />The Title ~ planners have been nreparmng an annual report on planning activity <br />with the County DSS, for their records, which ~ill be completed in July. The <br />staff will also be meeting with DSS's.to agree on a work program for the free <br />assistance provided under this orogram. In addition co general planning and <br />priority setting, the staff ~il! offer additional assistance in internal <br />management of client information go help estimate cost per client for the <br />different services. <br /> <br />Mannower <br />Manpowe~ staff devoted most of June to allocating funds to counties to operate <br />county manpower orograms for next year, and ~-~!! release RFP~s for bids in <br />July. The emphasis in this years program is to concentra~ on getting peoole <br />trained for and hired by private industry_. <br /> <br /> <br />
