Space - An area within a lot clearly defined by corners, <br />fences or other visual.marking and leased or rented by the owner <br />of the lot. <br /> 5. Residential Type Development - Any lot or space on which <br />there is located any residential unit or multi-residential unit. <br /> 6. Water - Potable water furnished to lots or spaces from <br />a municipal, sanitary, or community system approved by the Health <br />Department. <br /> <br /> 7. Planned Residential Development - An area of at least <br />three (3) acres allowing a mixture of residential types, planned <br />and developed as a unit, in a single development operation or a <br />programmed series of development op~erations and in accordance <br />with a plan for which a special use permit has been approved by <br />the Cabarrus County Planning Board. <br /> 8. Sewer - Means of collecting and disposing of domestic <br /> sewerage from lots or spaces by a municipal, sanitary, or community <br /> system approved by the Health Department. <br /> 9. Well Water - Underground potable water derived on a lot <br /> or space. <br /> <br /> 10. Septic Tank - A means of disposing of domestic sewage <br /> on a lot or space. <br /> 11. Building Setback Line - The minimum allowable distance <br /> between a building and a street or property Iine street. <br /> 12. Street - A right-of-way, public or private, which provides <br /> ingress and egress for a lot or soace. <br /> <br /> Section III. In General <br /> No person, firm or corporation shall begin to use a lot or <br /> space as or for the purpose of a residential type development as <br /> hereinbefore defined or begin the construction, reconstruction, <br /> alteration, repazr, erection or location on said lot or space of <br /> a unit or structure to be used for living or sleeping purposes <br /> until he or it shall apply for and receive a permit from the Cabarrus <br /> County Building Inspector or other officer, employee, or agent of <br /> Cabarrus County appointed by the Beard of County Co~issioners of <br /> Cabarrus County. In cases other than single family detached or <br /> duai-family residential un{ts, the develooer must file an accept- <br /> able site plan which must be approved by ~he Cabarrus County <br /> Planning Department prior to the issuance of building permits. <br /> A permit for the construction or use of any residential type <br /> development shall be issued by the Building Inspector or such other <br /> agent as may be designated by the County Commissioners of Cabarrus <br /> County when the requirements of this ordinance have been met or <br /> <br /> <br />
