V. Types of Travel anti Reimbursement A~thor~zed: <br /> <br /> A. 'Local Travel - County employees, who by the normal ~ature of their <br /> <br /> duties, are required to travel regularly withim the county.'and a~e individually <br /> authorized by the appropriate Office/Agency Head, are eligible for reimburse- <br /> ment for Eransportation expense. <br /> <br /> B. Special Local Travel - County employees who; in the interes~ of the <br /> county, and with Office/Agency Head approval, travel to schools, confmrences, <br /> <br /> meetings, etc. within the county; may be reimbursed for; <br /> (i) Transportation cost. <br /> <br /> (2) Meals that are in connection with or are a part of the <br /> <br /> (3) Necessar~ incidental expenses. <br /> <br /> C. Travel Outside tile County - Approved travel expenses acts!de the <br /> county for connty purposes or purposes in the best interest of the county, for <br /> training, conferences, professional meetings, etc. may be reimbursed, to the <br /> limits of the policy, for: <br /> <br /> (1) Transportation cost <br /> (2) Meals <br /> (3) Lodging <br /> <br /> (4) Necessary incidental cos:s <br /> <br /> D. Extraordinary Travel or Cost - In instances of travel not covered <br /> <br />by this policy, or where the actual necessary costs exceed the maximnm reim- <br />bursement allowed and the travel is in tile heat interest of the county; thc <br />Office/Agency l]ead may approve reimbursement of actual cost heyond the maximums <br />stated herein. The County Manager shall approve or disapprove all other ex- <br />pense reimbursements not clearly defined in this policy; or which have been <br />questioned. <br /> <br />VI.
