To insure that programs receiving state funds are appropriately licensed. <br /> <br /> COUNTY NEEDS ASSESSMENT TASK FORCES <br /> <br /> The State eocourages the establishment of County Task Forces, but it is not <br /> required of tile county in order to participate in the Community-Based Alternative <br /> program. Tile following are suggested responsibilities of the Task Forces~ <br /> <br />a. To maintain a current assessment of the needs of children involved or <br /> potentially involved in the juvenile justice system. <br /> <br />b. To submit to the county commissioners an annual plan for the provision <br /> of services based upon the needs identified. <br /> <br />c. To recommend within that plan a prioritized list of programs eligible for <br /> Community-Based Alternative funding. In order to carry out this responsi- <br /> bility the Task Force should review all proposals for Community-Based <br /> Alternatives fundings prior to submission to the County Co~missioners <br /> <br />d. To explore alternative funding sources, including private corporation and <br /> foundations. <br /> <br /> ?ROGRAM MANAGERS <br /> <br />a. To insure that the program meets all appropriate.standards and licensing <br /> requirements. <br /> <br />b. To maintain sufficient information to allow for the determination of pro- <br /> gram effectiveness. <br /> <br />c. ~o cooperate with Community-Based Alternative field consultants during <br /> monitoring and evaluation activities. <br /> <br />d. To complete a Program Agreement that provides basic program information, <br /> a line item budget, and a statement of civil rights compliance. <br /> <br /> J! <br /> <br /> <br />
