<br />
<br /> BE IT RESOLVEDBY the S~nitary District Board of Park~ood Sanitary District:
<br />
<br /> Section 1. That the Sanitary District Board does hereby approve the petition hereinabove set
<br /> forth for the extension of the boundries of the Parkwood Sanitary District and hereby requests th.
<br /> Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus to take all proceedings necessary for th e
<br /> annexation of the territory described in said petition and include the same within the boundaries
<br /> of said Parkwood Sanitary District, including the holding of an election upon the subject of
<br /> annexation within the territory to be annexed
<br />
<br /> Section 2. That the Secretary of the Sanitary District Board is hereby~directed to certify iF,ediately
<br /> a copy of thSs _resolution to the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus.
<br />
<br /> and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, no municip.al corporation or any part of the territory in a m~nicipal corporation
<br /> is included within the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed to said Parkwoed~'$anitar
<br /> District and described in the petition hereinabove set forth as part of said resolution; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners has examined said petition and the signatures thereon
<br /> and has also examined therecords in vaious County officers to determine the number of freeholders
<br /> residing within the boundaries of the terriiory described in said petition; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREA~, the Board of Oommissioners has determined that there are 26 freeholders residing wit in
<br /> the boundaries of said territory and that said petition was duly signed by 13 of said resident
<br /> freeholders, such number being more than 10% of the resident freeholders residing within the
<br /> boundaries of said territory; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, said petition sets forth the boundaries of the territory to be annexed to and
<br /> included in said Parkwood S~nitary District and the objects proposed to be accomplished; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, said petition requests the Sanitary District Board of said Parkwood Sanitary
<br /> District, t heBoard of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus, a nd the North Carolina ~tate
<br /> Board' of Hea~th to take all proceedings necessary t o annex said territory and include the same
<br /> within the boundaries of said Parkwood Sanitary District, including the holding of an election
<br /> within said Territory upon the subject of annexation, under-the _amthord~-cf and in accordamee
<br /> with Article 12 of Chapter 130 of the General Statutes of North Carolina, as am~nd4~, a nd particularly
<br /> Section 130-1~8 thereof; now, therefore,

<br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrl~.

<br /> Section 1. That a special election is hereby called to be held on Saturday,December 6, 1 958,
<br /> between 6:30 A M., and 6:30 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, at which election there shall be
<br /> submitted to the qualified registered voters within the boundaries of thefollowing described
<br /> territory:

<br /> Beginning at a point in the center of the Concord-Kannapolis Highway, saidpoint beingl50
<br /> feet north of the northern boundary of Winecoff School Road, and running thence in two courses
<br /> 150 feet from and parallel with the northern boundary of Winecoff School Road,SOuth 89 degrees
<br /> West 900 feet, South 55 degrees West ll70 feet more or less to a point 150 feet north of the
<br /> northern boundary of Winecoff School Road and 150 feet west of the western boundary of Linker
<br /> Street extended; thence a line in two courses 150 feet from and parallel with the western boundary
<br /> of Linker Street,South 21 1/2 degrees East 550 feet, South 29 degrees East ]525 feet more or less;
<br /> thence a line 150 feet from and parallel with the southern boundary of Stewart Street North 72 1/2
<br /> degrees East 860 feet to a point 150 feet from the western boundary of School Street extended;
<br /> thence a line 150 feet from and parallel ~o the western boundary of School Street extended South
<br /> 20 degrees East 390 feet; thence North 33 1/2 degrees East 550 feet moreor less; thence a line
