Lang, Jr. (~eal) <br /> Se c r et az y Chair man <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, it is the opinion cf the Board of Commissioners for Cabarrus dounty that said <br /> <br /> agreement will provide for the orderly and efficient administration c~f said facilities and will <br /> <br /> provide for effective instructions, health, safety and welfare of the pupils involved; <br /> <br /> NOW, ~EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said agreement be, and the same is hereby ratified and <br /> <br /> approved by the Board of County Commissioners for Cabarrus County, Noxth Carolina. <br /> <br /> Upon motion of Commissioner W.Guy Isenhour, seconded by Commissioner L.Bowman Barrier, <br /> <br /> the following resolution .was unanimously adopted: <br /> <br /> WHEHEAS, the Cabarzus County Board of Education andthe Concoxd City Boaxd of Education <br /> <br /> have entered into an agreement pxoviding fox ~he joint erection, maintenance and operation of ceztai <br /> facilities at Logan High School situated within the attendance area of the Concoxd City Administxat ye <br /> Unit as follows: <br /> <br /> NORTH CAROLINA <br /> CABARRU$ COUNTY <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, m~de and entexed into this 1st day of May, 1959, by and between the <br /> <br /> County Board of Education and the Concord City Board of Education, <br /> <br /> WITNES~ETH: That - <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there are now certain students residing within the attendance area of the Cabarru~ <br /> <br /> County Administrative Unit who desire to attend school within the attendance area of the Concord CJ <br /> <br /> Administrative Unit; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is deemed to be for the best interest of certain qualified children residing <br /> <br /> within the attendance area of the Cabar~ms County Administrative Unit to permit them to attend <br /> <br /> school within the attendance area of the Concoxd City Administrative Unit; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the boundaries of the attendance area of the Concord City Administrative Unit are <br /> <br /> contiguous with the boundaries of the Municipal Limits of the City of Concord; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the residents of the Concord City Administxative Unit axe subjected to a special <br /> <br /> school tax levy; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Cabarrus Gounty Board of Education has agreedto the allocation of $35,000.00, <br /> <br /> tolwhich it is entitled from an anticipated bond issue, to the Concord City Board of ~ducation for <br /> ts establishment., of ~ad~itiQnal school fa~iliteq at ~h~ ~g~n High $cho.ol~.(~h~ninth. through the <br /> twelfth g~ades inclusive) within the attendance area of the Concord City Administratave Unit; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is agreed that such children residing within the attendance area of the Cabarru <br /> <br /> ~county Administrative Unit qualifying for admission at Logan High School shall be entitled to <br /> attend the said Logan High School (the ninth through the twelfth grades inclusive) and may. be <br /> assigned to said school by the Cabarrus Oounty Board of Education, provided said Cabarrus County <br /> Board of Education ~shall pay to the Concord City Board of Education such sum as said Boards shall <br /> agree upon subject to the approval of the Board of County Commissioners fox Cabarrus Gounty, <br /> <br /> North Carolina, each yeax for the operation of said Logan High ~chool (the ninth through the twelft <br /> <br /> grades inclusive); <br /> <br /> <br />
