465 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY OF TAXES FOR THE PARKWOOD SANITARY DISTRICT WHEREAS, the following resolution was adopted by the Sanitary District Board for the Parkwood Sanitary District on the 8th day of July, 1966, and has been presented to the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus, to wit: WHEREAS, the San.itary District Board is charged with the duty and responsibility of determining the amount of tax to be levied upon the property assessed for taxation within the District in order to meet the obligations of the District incurred in the performance of its lawful under- takings; and WHEREAS, the amount-.r'~quired to pay interest on the outstanding obligations of the District and to retire the indebtedness which will become due and payable during the ensuing fiscal year will be $10,407.50; and WHEREAS, the Board is.'of the opinion that the sura of $2,000.00 will be adequate over and above the anticipated surplus from operatihg revenue; and WHEREAS, the Board ha~ibeen advised that the estimated value of property assessed for taxation within the Sanitary District is $1,373. 070.00; and WHEREAS, a levy of $. 15 on said valuation will equal $2,059.50; NOW, THEREFORe, BE IT RESOLVED: 1. The Parkwood Sanitary District Board does determine and does hereby find and declare: (a) That the funds available from surplus operating revenues as provided by G. S. 130-144 are insufficient for the pay- ment of interest in retirement of the District's obligations. (b) That the assessed valuation of the property within the limits of the Parkwood Sanitary District has been esti- mated at approximately i$1,373. 070. 00. (c) That a~levy ~f:$. 15 per $100.00 valuation will produce, approximately $2,059.50. (d) That, barring unforeseen and unanticipated expenses, the sum of $2,059.50 should be ample to 'meet the obligations of the District during the fiscal year 1966-67.
