RESOLUTION SETTING THE TAX RATE FOR q~4R T~A19'N'~PC~T,T.C:[ .~ANT~AR¥ DTSTRI~ <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Board of Co~;~-,issioners has received the <br /> <br />following resolution from the Board of Commissioners of the <br /> <br />Kannapolis Sanitary District: <br /> <br /> "RESOLUTION CERTIFYING THE REQUESTED. TAX RATE TO TH.E BOARD <br /> OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF CABARRUS COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Kannapolis Sanitary District Board has met <br /> and, in compliance with North Carolina General Statutes <br /> 130-141, has determined the amount of funds necessary to <br /> be raised by tax assessment and has determined the number <br /> of cents per one hundred dollars property valuation neces- <br /> sary to raise said amount; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Sanitary District Board now desires to certify <br /> to the Board of County Commissioners of Cabarrus County, <br /> North Carolina, the number of cents per one hundred dollars <br /> property valuation to be levied as a tax for the Kannapolis <br /> Sanitary District; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Kannapolis Sanitary District Board has found <br /> that the said tax rate for the year 1967 should be forty <br /> (40¢) cents per one hundred dollars property valuation; <br /> <br /> Now, therefore, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Kannapolis Sanitary District Board, <br /> in compliance with the above mentioned statute, does hereby <br /> certify to the Board of County Commissioners of Cabarrus <br /> County, North Carolina, that for the year 1967 it requests <br /> that said Board of County Commissioners introduce in its <br /> annual levy the sum of forty cents per one hundred dollars <br /> property valuation to be levied against all taxable property <br /> within the District, said funds to be collected by the County <br /> Tax Collector and turned over to the Kannapolis Sanitary <br /> District as provided in General Statutes 130-141. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Secretary of the Sanitary District <br /> Board forward a certified copy of this resolution to the <br /> Board of County Commissioners of Cabarrus County, North Carolin~ <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from <br /> the date of its passage. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Sanitary District tax for the Kannapolis <br /> <br /> Sanitary District for the year 1967 in the amount of forty cents <br /> (40¢) per one hundred dollars property valuation be and the same <br /> is hereby levied on property subject to the tax in the Kannapolis <br /> Sanitary District. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That said levy be collected by the County Tax <br /> <br /> Collector and the funds received therefrom be turned over to the <br /> Kannapolis Sanitary District as is provided in the North Carolina <br /> General Statutes, Section 130-141. <br /> <br /> <br />
