57O <br /> <br /> Resolution <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, That on or about December 5, 1966, The Honorable <br /> Estus B. White assumed his duties on the Board of the Cabarrus County <br /> Commissioners and served in that capacity until August 30, 1967; <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, the said Estus B. White has been recognized for <br /> his superior capabilities as a public servant as well as his dedication <br /> to. the people of Cabarrus County,.havtng been appointed to the high <br /> cfi"ice of Clerk of Superior Court of Cabarrus County, North Carolina by <br /> The Honorable Frank M. Armstrong, Resident Judge of the 19th Judicial ..i <br /> District of the Superior Court of North Carolina. <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, the sa,id Estus B. White has with great sacrifice to <br /> himself, his business, and his family performed diligently the duties <br /> of Commissioner of Cabarrus CouritJ~ with zeal and fervor representing <br /> all' of the people of Cabarrus Couflty without regard to race, religion, <br /> or political affiliation; <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, he has been a strong advocate in the field of <br /> education because of his 9rear concern for the present and future citizens <br /> of our outstanding county; <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, he has brought to the Board of Commissioners great <br /> prestige due to his business, civic and church endeavors, being active <br /> in all these; <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, he has served dutifully, capably, and with honor as <br /> a member of the Board of Commissioners for Cabarrus Coufi%y; <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the County Commissioners of <br /> Cabarrus County as a body on this 5th day of September, 1967, wish to <br /> commend the said Estus B. White for his cooperation, dedication, and <br /> knowledgeable ability as a public servant and more especially as a <br /> member of the Board of Commissioners and to the citizens of Cabarrus <br /> County who have benefited so greatly from the foregoing, and for his <br /> outstanding example in the field of public service. <br /> <br /> This reso'.~.ution adopted by the Board of Commissioners at their <br /> meeting on September 5, 1967. <br /> <br /> C. Hawfield made motion, secondedby Petrea, to adopt the reso'tution as <br /> presented. Vote carried. <br /> <br /> Petrea made motion, seconded by Hawfield, to accept the following road <br /> <br /> petitions. Commissioners informed <br /> i Mr. Alexander that the County was presently divid4ed into franchised districts <br /> <br /> <br />
