RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY OF TAXES FOR THE <br /> <br /> PARKWOOD SANITARY DISTRICT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the following resolution was adopted by the Sanitary <br /> <br />District Board for the Parkwood Sanitary District on the 20th day of <br /> <br />June, 1968, and has been presented to the Board of Commissioners for <br /> <br />the County of Cabarrus, to wit: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Parkwood Sanitary District is <br /> charged with the duty and responsibility of determining <br /> the amount of tax to be levied upon the property <br /> assessed for taxation within the District in order to <br /> meet the obligations of the District incurred in the <br /> performance of its lawful undertakings; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Parkwood Sanitary District <br /> obtains its water from the Board of Light and Water <br /> Commissioners for the City of Concord and its sewage <br /> is treated by the Board of Light and Water Commissioners <br /> for the City of Concord; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Light and Water <br /> Commissioners has served notice on its customers that <br /> both water and sewer rates will be increased in order <br /> to expand its facilities and capital outlay; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is estimated that the amount <br /> necessary to pay the interest and principal on the <br /> outstanding obligations of the District and to retire the <br /> indebtedness which will become due and payable during <br /> the ensuing fiscal year will exceed $12,000.00; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the cost and expense in maintaining <br /> the sewer lines and performing the duties required of the <br /> Board continues to increase; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board is of the opinion that the <br /> sum of $3,000.00 should be adequate over and above the <br /> anticipated surplus from operating revenue to pay the <br /> interest on the outstanding obligations and to retire the <br /> indebtedness which will become due during the ensuing <br /> year; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board has been advised that the <br /> estimated value of the property assessed for taxation <br /> within the Sanitary District is approximately $2,277,000.00; <br /> and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a levy of 15¢ on said valuation will <br /> equal $3,415.50; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: <br /> <br /> 1. That the Parkwood Sanitary District Board <br /> does determine and does hereby find and declare: <br /> <br /> <br />
