RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY OF TAXES FOR THE ~ PARKWOOD SANITARY DISTRICT WHEREAS, the following resolution was adopted by the Sanitary District Board for the Parkwood Sanitary District on the 8th day of June, 1970, and has been presented to the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus, to wit: BE IT RESOLVED: 1. That the Parkwood Sanitary District does deter- mine and does hereby find and declare: (a) That the funds available from surplus operating revenue as provided by G. S. 130-144 are insufficient for the payment of interest and retirement of the District's obligations and costs and expenses which may be reasonably anticipated in the maintenance and operation of the facilities of the Sanitary District. (b) That the assessed valuation of the property within the District limits of the Parkwood Sanitary District has been estimated at approximately $2,978,433.00. (c) That a levy of 15~ per $100.00 valua- tion should produce approximately $4, 467.65. (d) That barring unforeseen and · unanticipated expenses, a levy of 15~ per $100.00 should produce enough additional income to meet the obligations of the Sanitary District during the fiscal year 1970-71. 2. That the Secretary of the Parkwood Sanitary District Board certified to the Board of County Commissioners for Cabarrus County, North Carolina, that the Parkwood Sanitary District Board has determined that a levy or 15q per $100.00 valuation of property within the District limits is necessary to raise the amount needed to meet the current obligations of said District and requests that this amount be included in the next levy to be determined by the Board of County Commissioners and collected as other taxes under the provisions of G. S. 130-141. On motion of Commissioner , seconded by Commissioner , the foregoing resolution entitled "RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY OF TAXES FOR THE PARKWOOD SANITARY DISTRICT" was passed by the following vote: AYES: NOES:
