REGIONAL COUNCIL OF GO~' ERNMflCNTS <br /> CHARTEt~ RES0f~UT~ON <br /> <br /> County or ~nicipality <br /> <br /> ~F~S, Cabarrus County Board of Co~issioners , <br /> <br />together with the other county and municipal governmental units adopting <br />concurrent Resolutions identical hereto recognize that ther. e is a need <br />for such governmental units to consult among themselves and to act in <br />concert with reference to regional matters affecting health, safety, <br />welfare, education, recreation, economic conditions, regional planning <br />or regional development; now, therefore, be it <br /> <br /> RESOLVe, that pursuant to the General Statutes of North Carolina, <br />Chapter 160A, Article 20, Part 2, the following Resoh~ion is hereby adopted <br />for the establishment ~f a regional council of governments: <br /> <br /> Short Titie -_.!~i~j~% ~ffect: This Resolution shall be hereafter <br />referred to as the "Charter" of this Regional Council; and said Charter, <br />together with all amendments tb~rato, shall be binding upon and shall enure <br />to ~he benefit of all {overnmental units adopting same. <br /> <br /> ITEM <br /> <br /> Name: The name of tNe regional council of governments hereby <br /> <br />established shall be the ~':'":~' ~w ~ CO{INCTL O~ ?OV~N~NTS and <br /> <br />shall be hereinafter referred to herein as the "Council". <br /> <br /> Member sh i~: <br /> <br /> A. ~ initial membership of this Council of Governments shall <br /> <br />consist of the following government~.l units which are members of the <br /> <br />Central Piedmont Regional Council of Local Governments (organized' and existing <br />pursuant to Chapter 160, Article 8A of thc Ceneral Statutes of North Carolina, <br />now repealed) and which adopt the Resolution identical hereLo on or before <br />~rch 1, 1972, to-wit: <br /> <br /> <br />
