NORTH CAR OLINA <br /> <br />CABARRUS OD UNTY <br /> <br /> PETITION FOR THE CREATION OF T'HE TERRITORY <br /> t{EREIN DESCRIBED AS A SANITARY DISTRICT <br /> <br />To the Board of Commissioners of the County of Cabarrus: <br /> <br /> We, the undersigned, being resident freeholders within the boun- <br />daries described below, respectfully petition that such territory be created <br />as a sanitary district and that the Board of Commissioners for the County of <br />Cabarrus, North Carolina, take all necessary action required by Article 12 <br />of Chapter 130 of the General Statutes of North Carolina for the creation of a <br />sanitary district comprising such territory, the objects proposed to be accom- <br />plished by the creation of such district being the acquisition, construction, <br />reconstruction, enlargement of, additions and extensions to, and the mainte-' <br />nance and operation of, a water system or systems, a sanitary sewer system <br /> <br /> or systems, sewage disposal or treatment plants, and such other utilities and <br /> purposes as may be necessary and now or hereafter authorized by law for the <br /> preservation and promotion of the public health and sanitary welfare within the <br /> district. <br /> <br /> The territory proposed to be included in such sanitary district is <br /> located in Cabarrus County, North Carolina, and the boundaries of such terri- <br /> <br /> tory are as follows: <br /> <br /> BEGINNING at a point in the center of the intersection of Old <br /> Charlotte Road and Rockwell and Ur~ion Cemetery Roads; thence northeast 1050 <br /> feet along the center of Old Charlotte Road; thence northwest 1850 feet to the <br /> north corner of Fleetwood Subdivision; thence southwest 1340 feet with tile <br /> Fleetwood line to the west corner of Fleetwood Subdivision;tlence south 1200 <br /> feet (crossing Union Cemetery Road at 200 feet) along the line of Union Grove <br /> Cemetery to a point 150 feet south of Linden Avenue; tl~ence soutlleastcrly 1130 <br /> feet (150 feet south of and parallel to Linden Avenue) to a point 510 feet north- <br /> west of Roberta Road; thence 900 feet in a southwesterly direction, 510 feet <br /> northwest of and parallel to Roberta Road; thence southeasterly 335 feet to a <br /> point 175 feet northwest of Roberta Road;thence 175 feet northwest of and paral- <br /> lel to Roberta Road 3900 feet in a southwesterly direction to a point opposite <br /> the entrance to Picture Park; thence south 175 feet to the center of Roberta <br /> Road; thence with the center of Roberta Road in a westerly direction 1800 feet <br /> <br /> <br />
