Motion seconded by <br /> <br /> Gallimore and vote carried. <br /> <br /> William Fisher, speaking for several franchise garbage haulers, stated that <br /> <br /> Fleming had failed to withdraw within his boundaries.. Han~ett made motion authorizing <br /> a letter be sent to Fleming asking him to cease from encroaching on the franchised <br /> boundary lines and if he does not comply, then legal action will be taken against him. <br /> James seconded the motion and vote carried. <br /> <br /> Jerry Myers, Criminal Justice Planning Agency representative, told the Board <br /> <br /> that certain matching funds were not available and asked that additional money be <br /> appropriated for the Educational Incentive Program. McClary was asked to meet with <br /> Sheriff Roberts and Myers to discuss it futher and make a rec;O~endation at the next <br /> meeting. <br /> <br /> Gallimore made motion, seconded by James, to adopt the Resolution Honoring <br /> <br /> Charles Maurice Hall. Vote carried. This resolution is recorded on page 173 and <br /> <br /> becomes a part of these:~inutes. <br /> <br /> Hammett made motion, seconded by Gallimore, to adopt Resolution congratulating <br /> <br /> and commending Mrs. Ruby F. Little for her exemplary performance of duties as Executive <br /> Secretary of the Cabarrus County Board of Elections. Vote carried. This resolution <br /> is recorded on page 174 and becomes a. part of these minutes. <br /> <br /> James made motion that Gallimore be appointed delegate to COG. Notion seconded <br /> <br /> by Hammett and vote carried. <br /> <br /> Galltmc~e made motion to ratify Charles Bost as Cabarrus County Community <br /> <br /> Relations Commission Director. Notion seconded by Mammett and vote carried. <br /> <br /> Motion be Gallimore, seconded"~y James, that the County Building Inspection <br /> <br /> Department accept the responsibility of necessary housing condemnation within the <br /> <br /> City of Concord. Vote carried. <br /> <br /> H~ett made motion that'the regular meeting for January be held January 8, <br /> <br /> 1973 at 9:00 a.m. Motion seconded by James andvote carried. <br /> <br /> Galltmore made motion that the farm census be conducted by Agricultural <br /> <br /> Extension and that $500.00 be budgeted from unappropriated surplus. Notion seconded by <br /> <br /> H~nmett and vote carried. <br /> <br /> James ~ade motion, seconded by Gallimore, and carried that the following road <br /> <br /> petitions be approved: Request for additionz School Street <br /> Camden Street <br /> Request for abandor~ant: Old Sam Black Road <br /> Prison Camp Road <br /> <br /> Having no futher business meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> Clerk~o Board~ <br /> <br /> <br />
