RESOLUTION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on the 14th day of November, 1972, Charles <br /> Maurice Hall of Groff Avenue, Concord, North Carolina, upon being <br /> informed that the home of his neighbor, Lawrence Davis, was in flames, <br /> rushed to said home and seeing that Mr. Davis' car was present and that <br /> he was probably in said burning house, entered said house wiihout fear for <br /> his personal safety, said house being filled with smoke and in flames,' <br /> located Mr. Davis, who was unconscious, and pulled him from said house <br /> although Mr. Davis was a much heavier man, and brought him to a place <br /> of safety; <br /> <br /> AND WI-IEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Cabarrus <br /> <br /> County feel that it is fitting and proper to honor said Charles Maurice <br /> Hall for his act of bravery and heroism in attempting to save the life of <br /> his neighbor and r~sking his own life; <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, Charles Maurice Hall is not a member of any <br /> was not <br /> volunteer fire department or,under any other obligation at said time to enter <br /> <br /> b ui~k~ home; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Commissioners of Cabarrus <br /> <br /> County hereby record in its minutes this act of heroism by Charles Maurice <br /> Hall, congratulate Mr. Hall on l~s courageous action, and remind others <br /> in this community and County of the heroism of this citizen. <br /> <br />WILLIAMS.
