NORTH CAROLINA CABARRUS COUNTY THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 8th day of Janu- ary, 1973, by and between CABARRUS COUNTY, a governmental subdivi- sion of the State of North Carolina, party of the first part, and DONALD R. STEELE, of Cabarrus County, North Carolina, party of the second part. WITNESSETH: - That whereas, Donald R. Steele was the low bidder for the opera- tion of the Cabarrus County Smitary Landfill for the period from January 1, 1972, through January 31, 1973, and has operated said landfill pursuant to contract entered into with Cabarrus County on the 12th day of January, 1972; and whereas, the Board of Commissioners of Cabarrus County has determined that it will advertise for said landfill on a fiscal basis beginninl July 1 of each year and that it is necessary to provide for said landfill from~ February 1, 1973, through June 30, 1973; and whereas, Dcn aid R. Steele has agreed to operate said landfill for the same monthly sum paid him pursuant to contract of January12, 1972, and under the same specifications contained in and made a part of that contract; and whereas, at its meeting on the 8th day of January, 1973, the Board of Commissioners of Cabarrus County awarded the con tract to the party of the second part upon the execu- tion of this agreement; NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises and the agree- ments hereinafter made, the parties hereto do con~ract and mutually agree as follows: 1. That Donald R. Steele, party of the seoond part, will operate the Cabarrus County Sanitary Landfill for the period beginning February 1, 1973, and continuing through June 30, 1973, upon the same terms and con- ditions set out in the specifications attached as Exhibit A to the contract of WILLIAUS~ WILLEFORD ~,~,~, January 12, 1972, between Cabarrus County and Donald R.
