RESOLUTION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Lila Thompson petitioned the North Carolina <br />State Highway Ccmmission to abandon the following portion of the <br />01d Sam Black Road. Beginning on the east side of Flowes Store <br />Road (SR 1132), runs thence in a South and Southwesterly direction <br />1500' to a point on SR 1127 (this point being 690' in a Southeasterly <br />direction from the intersection of SR 1132 and SR 1127); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, North Carolina State Highway Commission <br />abandoned said road on February 20, 1973; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Notice of Petition to abandon was duly published <br />in The Concord Tribune and a copy of said notice mailed to Lila <br />Thompson, E. G. and Clara Simpson, and Willie E. Gibson; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the abandonment of said portion of the 01d <br />Sam~Black Road would not deny access to a public road to any <br />adjoining land owner; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there has been no objection to the abandonment <br />of this portion of the 01d Sam Black Road. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED that pursuant to the authority of G. S. <br />153-9(17), that portion of the 01d Sam Black Road beginning on the <br />east side of Flowes Store Road (SR 1132), runs thence in a South <br />and Southwesterly direction 1500' to a point on SR 1127 (this <br />point being 690' in a Southeasterly direction from the intersection <br />of SR 1132 and SR 1127) is hereby closed~ except that the portion <br />of said road from SR 1132 to the northwest corner of the E. G. <br />Simpson property is not closed. <br /> <br /> <br />
