3@2 <br /> <br /> k~tEKEAS, it was deemed proper that the local cost of the interceptor sewer system for <br /> <br /> the Treatment Plant should be assumed by the County so that it would be shared equally by <br /> <br /> the citizens of the County whether they lived within a municipality or outside of one; and <br /> <br /> ~ItEKEAS, it is estimated that the local share of the cost of the interceptor sewer <br /> <br /> system will be $1,'$14,875..00; and whereas, The Cannon Foundation has made a grant to Cabarrus <br /> County which will completely pay for the County's share of said interceptor sewer system <br /> and which will relieve the. citizens of Cabarrus County of this ,financial burden; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Commissioners of Cabarrus County, on behalf of thmmselves and all of the <br /> <br /> citizens of this County, desire to express their sincere appreciation for this generous <br /> <br /> gift; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Cabarrus County at <br /> <br /> its regular meeting:- <br /> <br /> 1. That the gift of The Cannon Foundation which will make a regional interceptor sewer <br /> <br /> system available to;Cabarets County without any cost to the citizens of said County will be <br /> of great benefit to the health and well being of those people now remiding in this County <br /> and generations in,the f,uture. <br /> <br /> 2. That .the gratitude of all ®f the ~e~le of Cabarrus C®unty is hereby extended to <br /> <br /> The Cann®n Founlation for this most generous gift. <br /> <br /> 3. That this resolution be made a part of the minutes of the CaWarrus C~unty Commis- <br /> <br /> sisners and a July certified copy delivered t® The Cann®n F®undati®n. <br /> <br /> M®tion by Cmmmissioner Gallim®re, sec®nded by C®mmissioner Hammett and unanimously <br /> <br /> carried, to adopt the following resolution. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, R.' HOWARD TROUTMAN of Kannapolis, North Carolina, is a condidate for the.office <br /> <br /> of Vice-Commander of the North Carolina Association of Rescue Squads, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, R. HOWARD TROUTMAN is now serving his fourth annual term as Chief of the Cabar- <br /> <br /> rus Rescue Squad; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Cabarr, u~ Rescue Squad under his able leadership has served and is serving <br /> <br /> the citizens of this County in a manner n®t surpassed in North Carolina; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, R. HOWARD TROUTMAN has served in numerous positions of leadership in the North <br /> <br /> Carolina Association of Rescue Squads, the Piedmont Associatian of Rescue Squads, and other <br /> <br /> areas of rescue squad activity; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by virtue of his service in the North Carolina Association of Rescue Squads <br /> <br /> and in the Cabarrus Rescue Squad and by his training and experience he is highly qualified <br /> <br /> for the office of Vice-Commander of the North Carolina Association of Rescue Squads; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Cabarrus County that <br /> <br /> R. HOWARD TROUTMAN be and he is hereby heartily endorsed for the office of Vice-Commander <br /> <br /> of the North Carolina Association of Rescue Squads. <br /> <br /> This resolution was unanimously adopted at the September 1974 meeting of the Commissioners <br /> <br /> of Cabarrus County, North Carolina. <br /> <br /> <br />
