Motion seconded by <br />Commissioner Hammett and vote carried. <br /> <br /> The Kannapolis Sanitary District and the Merchants <br /> <br />Association asked that they be allowed to erect a 35 foot ladder, <br />guyed to parking meters, on West Avenue on February 19 to promote <br />the March of Dimes. Commissioner Milloway made motion that with- <br />out starting a precident, they be allowed to erect a 35 foot <br />ladder and any incurred liability be assumed by the Kannapolis <br />Sanitary District. Motion seconded by Commissioner Hammett and <br />vote carried. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Hammett made motion that J. B. Roberts, Jr. and <br />Charles McGinnis be placed as nominees for positions on the <br /> <br />Criminal Justice Advisory Committee. Motion seconded by <br /> <br />Commissioner Cook and vote carried. <br /> <br /> The County Manager recommeded that An increase from 60¢ to <br /> <br />90¢ per mile for out of county ambulance trips be made. Commissioner <br />McClary made motion to increase the base rate to $25.00 and accept <br />the county manager's recommendation to increase the out of county <br />rate to 90¢ per mile effective April 1, 1977.
