This would be approximately $240,000 with the counties <br />participating with in-kind (not cash) match. Commissioner McClary made motion <br />to endorse the plan as presented with Centralina COG being the administrative <br />agent. Motion seconded by Commissioner Cook and vote unanimously carried. <br /> <br /> John Roberson, speaking for the Concord City Recreation Commission, <br /> <br />asked the county for $15,000. He reported that a survey had been taken and <br />that 36.5% of all participants were county residents. The Board will consider <br />the request during budget deliberations. <br /> <br /> Larry Meisner with Kimley Horn gave a progress report on the mass transit <br />study. They will suggest that the county purchase five new buses and two vans <br />and lease them to the exi~ting bus company. This would cost approximately <br />$354,250 with the local sl~lare being $35,000. Unless the Board recommends <br />changes, the study will be completed and submitted to UMTA. <br /> <br /> Commissioner McClary ~ade motion to authorize the County Manager to <br />purchase four state seals I~rom Old South Crafts to be displayed in each <br />courtroom and the clerk's ~ffice.
