I mile southeast of it~ intersection w~ U.S. 29; thence south- <br />westerly to point (4) a~ the intersection of U.S. 29 and SR 1302; <br />thence southwesterly to point (5) on U.S. 29 at the Mec~enburg- <br />Cabarru~ County Line; thence southeasterly along the Mec~lenburg- <br />Cabarr~ County Line to point (6) on Lower Rocky River Road (1136) <br />to point (7) at ~ts intersection with Hickory Ridge Road (1138); <br />thence northeasterly to point (8) on Lower Rocky River Road (1136) <br />at the Reedy Creek B~idge; thence northwesterly along Lower Rocky <br />River Road (1136) to point (9) at its intersection with Rocky River <br />Road ( 1139); thence northeasterly along Rocky River Road (1139) to <br />point (10) at Rocky River Bridge; thence in a general northw~terly <br />direction along Rocky River Road and Coddle Creek to point (11) 0.5 <br />mile noAthwest of the bridge on Roberta Mill Road; thence northerly <br />to the point of beginning. <br /> <br />Commissioner Milloway made motion to appoint Carol Hardy, Linda Bishop <br /> <br />and Barba~ B~wn to the Council on the Stat~ of Women to fill vacancies. <br /> <br />Motion seconded by Commissioner Hamm~t and vote carried. <br /> <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Mi~loway, seconded by Commissioner Cook and <br /> <br />carried, the By-Laws of the Council on the Status of Women were approved. <br /> <br />BYLAWS <br /> <br />CABARRUS COUNTY COUNCIL ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN <br /> <br />ARTICLE I - NAME <br /> <br />The name of this organization shall be the Caba~Aus County Council on the Statu~ <br />of Women. <br /> <br />ARTICLE II - PURPOSE <br /> <br />The purpose of this Council shatl be: <br /> <br />To identify the status of women in Cabarrus County by assembling existing <br />information, conducting original research and/or using other appropriate <br />means; <br /> <br />2. To disseminate information on the status of women; <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />To advise and recommend appropriate action regarding the status of women <br />to the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners and other governmental <br />bodies; <br /> <br />4. To promote devclopment of the potential of each woman; <br /> <br />To increase public understanding of the problems, needs and abilities of <br />women and to serve as a clearinghouse of information regarding the <br />aforementioned. <br /> <br /> <br />
