Griffin /s/ Wayne Cothran" Upon motion of Commissioner Cook, seconded by CommisSioner Hammett and unanimo~ly carried, the Harrisburg Fire District boundaries were changed as follows: PROPOSED REVIEW OF HARRISBURG FIRE DISTRICT INCLUDING AREA BEING SERVED BY HARRISBURG VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT STATION ~2 Beginning at point (I) at the interseet~n of U.S. 29 and SR 1310; thence southw~te~ly to point (2) at the intersection of SR 1305 and SR 1433; thence southwesterly to point (3) on SR 1300, 0. I mile southeast of it~ intersection w~ U.S. 29; thence south- westerly to point (4) a~ the intersection of U.S. 29 and SR 1302; thence southwesterly to point (5) on U.S. 29 at the Mec~enburg- Cabarru~ County Line; thence southeasterly along the Mec~lenburg- Cabarr~ County Line to point (6) on Lower Rocky River Road (1136) to point (7) at ~ts intersection with Hickory Ridge Road (1138); thence northeasterly to point (8) on Lower Rocky River Road (1136) at the Reedy Creek B~idge; thence northwesterly along Lower Rocky River Road (1136) to point (9) at its intersection with Rocky River Road ( 1139); thence northeasterly along Rocky River Road (1139) to point (10) at Rocky River Bridge; thence in a general northw~terly direction along Rocky River Road and Coddle Creek to point (11) 0.5 mile noAthwest of the bridge on Roberta Mill Road; thence northerly to the point of beginning. Commissioner Milloway made motion to appoint Carol Hardy, Linda Bishop and Barba~ B~wn to the Council on the Stat~ of Women to fill vacancies. Motion seconded by Commissioner Hamm~t and vote carried. Upon motion of Commissioner Mi~loway, seconded by Commissioner Cook and carried, the By-Laws of the Council on the Status of Women were approved. BYLAWS CABARRUS COUNTY COUNCIL ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN ARTICLE I - NAME The name of this organization shall be the Caba~Aus County Council on the Statu~ of Women. ARTICLE II - PURPOSE The purpose of this Council shatl be: To identify the status of women in Cabarrus County by assembling existing information, conducting original research and/or using other appropriate means; 2. To disseminate information on the status of women; e To advise and recommend appropriate action regarding the status of women to the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners and other governmental bodies; 4. To promote devclopment of the potential of each woman; To increase public understanding of the problems, needs and abilities of women and to serve as a clearinghouse of information regarding the aforementioned.
