39 <br /> <br /> Commissioner Milloway made motion to appoint Mrs. Tom F. Foster, Jr. <br /> <br />to the Social Services Board for a three year term beginning July 1, 1977. <br />Motion seconded by Commissioner McClary and vote carried. <br /> <br /> Chairman Hawfield reported that by widening the spaces another line <br /> <br />of parking spaces could be obtained in the parking lot. The spaces would <br />be marked that are to be reserved and possibly parking meters could be <br />installed to deter people from parking all day. The parking lot is to be <br />remarked and then used to help determine the best method to use to keep <br />parking spaces available for public use. <br /> <br /> Before increasing the building inspection fees, Commissioner Hammett <br />wants to discuss the recommended increases with the Home Builders. <br /> <br /> Upon motion of Commissioner Milloway, seconded by Commissioner Cook <br /> <br />and carried, the following Community Development budget amendment was <br />approved: Transfer of $42,800.00 from "Acquistion of Real Property" and <br /> <br />$4,000.00 from "Clearance, Demolition, Rehabilitation" to "Rehabilitation". <br /> <br /> Commissioner Milloway made motion giving the Community Development <br />Coordinator to issue change orders up to ten per cent of the cost. Motion <br />seconded by Commissioner Cook and vote carried. <br /> <br /> The petition requesting the sanitation line from the new Health Depart- <br />ment to. Brown Street be blocked off because of motorcycle riding was discussed. <br />Due to the expense of erecting a fence, the sheriff is to check by and ask <br />them not to ride their motorcycles in this area. <br /> <br /> Upon motion of Commissioner Hammett, seconded by Commissioner Cook and <br />carried, the following budget amendment was approved: <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the <br /> County of Cabarrus North Carolina that the following <br /> amendment be made to the budget ordinance for the <br /> fiscal year ending June 30, 1977: <br /> <br /> To provide for an increase in State Grants <br /> <br /> GENERAL FUND <br /> <br /> Revenue <br /> 348-03 State Government Grant $ 155,610.00 <br /> <br /> Expenditures <br /> 660-67 CETA Salaries & Fringes $ 155,610.00 <br /> <br /> Request for Budget Amendment for Library Department <br /> <br /> Request transfer of ~400 from Contingency Account to <br /> be applied to the following account:~ <br /> <br /> 630-50 Bookmobile Expense $ 400.00 <br /> <br /> <br />
