These are to <br />be appointed for a term of one year. The purpose of this committee would be to <br />review all public housing programs operating in the county; review areas for future <br />Community Development Grant applications; review the proposed housing analysis <br />plan for the county; recommend housing goals and methods for improving housing <br />programs in the county; and act as the Community Development Screening Committee <br />in the future. Motion seconded by Commissioner Hammett and vote unanimously <br />carried. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hammett, seconded by Commissioner Cook and <br />carried unanimously, the following people were appointed to the Housing Committee: <br />Troy Cook, W. C. Isenhour, Jack Cranford, C. J. Moss, Robert Pressley, James <br />Fleming and Van Foster. <br /> <br /> The Board discussed the Grassroots Arts program funds that could become <br /> available to a qualifing non-profit organization. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Milloway the newspapers were asked to publicize <br /> the Grassroots Arts Program to see if an organization is interested in applying for <br /> funds. Motion seconded by Chairman Hawfield and vote carried. <br /> <br /> B. S. Brown, Jr., representing the Kannapolis Sanitary District, presented <br /> the following resolution which was read: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE ANNEXATION OF <br /> TERRITORIES TO KANNAPOLIS SANITARY DISTRICT <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF CABARRUS: <br /> Section 1. That the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus has <br /> determined and does hereby find and declare: <br /> (a) That on September 30, 1977 a resolution was received from the Sanitary <br /> District Board of the Kannapolis Sanitary District relating to the annexation <br /> of territory to the Kannapolis Sanitary District. <br /> (b) That the territories described in the various petitions consist of the <br /> following: <br /> (1) The property of Harold Lloyd Overcash and others located on West "A" <br /> Street, Rowan County, North Carolina. <br /> (2) The property of Frank A. Dayvault and wife located on Ebenezer ~Road, <br /> Rowan County, North Carolina. <br /> (3) The property of Delmas Petrea and others located on Bertha Street, <br /> Rowan County, North Carolina. <br /> <br /> <br />
