The steering committee would discuss the cost, <br />the distribution of the cost and all related matters and make a <br />recommendation to the Boards involved. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Milloway, seconded by Commissioner <br />Cook and carried, Chairman Hawfield and Commissioner Rammett were <br />appointed to the steering committee. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hammett, seconded by Commissioner <br />Cook and carried, the following resolution was passed: BE IT <br />RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners now go into Executive <br />Session as permitted by North Carolina G. S. 143-318.3 (a) (1) to <br />consider the acquisition of land and the acquiring of options on <br />land for the purpose of an alternative site for a county airport. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hammett, seconded by Commissioner <br />Cook and carried, the Executive Session was concluded. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hammett, Chairman Hawfield was <br /> authorized to seek and secure options at several other sites and <br /> report back at the next regularly scheduled meeting or at a <br /> special meeting. Motion seconded by Commissioner Cook and vote <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hammett, seconded by Commissioner <br /> McClary and unanimously carried, the following resolution was <br /> approved: BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners hereby <br /> endorses and approves the construction of a general aviation airport <br /> for Cabarrus County at a site to be determined at a later date. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Cook, seconded by Commissioner <br /> McClary and carried, the following applications were approved and <br /> the Tax Collector was authorized to issue privilege licenses: <br /> application for massage parlor - Star Dust Health Club operated by <br /> Roy G. Bostian, application for massagists - Roy Gilbert Bostian, <br /> Betty Jean Helms Bostian, Marilyn Jackson Love and Ollie Beatrice <br /> Williams. <br /> <br /> Mr. Tom Lamar, with the Department of Crime Control and Public <br /> Safety presented the crisis relocation plan for the state that would <br /> involve Cabarrus County. <br /> <br /> <br />
