101 <br /> <br />Camp Cabarrus to the Boy Scouts. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hammett the County Attorney was <br />instructed to draw up a lease agreement similar to the lease with <br />Historic Cabarrus, Inc. Motion seconded by Commissioner Milloway <br />and vote carried. The public hearing will be held at 10:00 A.M. <br />on February 9. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hammett, seconded by Commissioner <br />McClary and carried, the board went into executive session to <br />discuss the acquisition of property for an airport. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Cook, seconded by Commissioner <br />Hammett and carried, the executive session was concluded. <br /> <br /> The County Attorney was instructed to seek options on four <br /> sites. A representative from FAA and one from Talbert and Cox <br /> will be asked to the special meeting on January 24 to advise and <br /> give direction in the best site selection for a county airport. <br /> <br /> Chairman Hawfield reported that Judge Davis was satisfied <br /> <br /> with the judge's chambers of Courtroom #3. For the present time, <br /> accommodations are satisfactory, but at some future time other <br /> arrangements may need to be made. <br /> <br /> One bid was received for an electronic voting system. It <br /> <br /> was from Computer Election Systems in the amount of $85,437. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Cook, seconded by Commissioner <br /> McClary and carried, the bid was awarded to Computer Election <br /> Systems and a budget amendment was made increasing fund balance <br /> 10-399-00 by $90,000.00 and increasing capital outlay equipment <br /> 10-430-74 by $90,000.00. <br /> <br /> Attorney Boger stated that the applications for massagist's <br /> license for Ray Waller, Calvin D. Honeycutt and Linda Ayers, <br /> except for no health certificate on Linda Ayers, and the application <br /> for massage parlor for Cannon Memorial YMCA were in order. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Milloway, seconded by Commissioner <br /> Cook and carried, the applications were approved and the tax <br /> collector instructed to issue the license when the appropriate fees <br /> were paid. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner M¢Clary, seconded ,by Commissioner <br /> Cook and carried, the following budget amendment was approved: <br /> <br /> <br />
