125 <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hammett, seconded by Commissioner <br />Cook and carried, a public hearing will be held at 11:00 a.m. at <br />the next regular meeting on road name changes in Rollingwood <br />Forest Subdivision. <br /> <br /> No one expressed an interest in attending the reception for <br />North Carolina Congressional delegation during NACO Legislative <br />Conference. <br /> <br /> The Land Development Plan was given to the Board for review <br />and comment at the next regular meeting. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Milloway, seconded by Commissioner <br />Cook and carried, Vickie Weant was appointed Clerk to the Board <br />effective April 1, 1978 following the resignation of Patsy Moser. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Milloway, seconded by Commissioner <br /> McClary and carried, the following road petitions were approved: <br /> requests for addition - Rollingwood Forest, Cambridge Drive, <br /> Sheffield Drive and Windermere Drive. <br /> <br /> The Board discussed the possibility of having a block census <br /> done of Kannapoliso This proposal would be a joint project <br /> with Rowan County and would be handled through Centraline Council <br /> of Governments. The County Manager is to check into the details <br /> and report back at the next regular meeting. <br /> <br /> The Board discussed a letter from C. Ronald Aycock, <br /> <br /> Executive Director, N. C. Association of County Commissioners, <br /> which described proposed changes in the Local Governmental <br /> Employees' Retirement System. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner McClary, seconded by Commissioner <br /> Cook and carried, the following resolution was approved: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the North Carolina Dept. of Natural Resources <br /> and Community Development as "grantee" of the Community <br /> Services Administration and Dept. of Energy desires to <br /> identify a "delegate" agency in and for Cabarrus County <br /> to provide weatherization improvements as part of the <br /> North Carolina Weatherization Assistance Program; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, federal funding in the combined amount of <br /> $29,832, subject to additional local contribution amount- <br /> ing to $15,972, is available to undertake a weatherization <br /> program in and for Cabarrus County; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Cabarrus County <br /> desires to make weatherization assistance available to <br /> eligible residents of Cabarrus County. <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br /> COMMISSIONERS OF CABARRUS COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA: <br /> <br /> <br />
