Ray Flowers <br />was reappointed to"the Harrisburg Planning Board with his <br />term expiring July 1, 1981, and Mr. Yates M. McCachern,Jr. <br />was reappointed to the Harrisburg Zoning Board of Adjust- <br />ment with his term~expiring July'l, 1981. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of'C0mmissioner Hammett, seconded by <br />commissioner.Cook and carried unanimously, Messrs. Billy <br />Ray Hatley and Archie Layton Were reappointed to the Mt. <br />Pleasant Planning Board with their terms'expiring June 30, <br />1981. Mr. Lacy B, HUrlocker was reappointed and Robert L. <br />Byrd, Jr, was appointed to the Mt. Pleasant.Zoning Board <br />of Adjustment. Their terms will expire June 30, 1981, <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Cook, seconded by Commis- <br /> sioner McClarY and Carried unanimoUsly, the Land Develop- <br /> ment Plan and the Housing Analysis Plan were adopted. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Hawfield, seconded by Commis- <br /> sioner Hammett and~carried unanimously, the request for the <br /> abandonment of the short cut to Cabarrus Acres was not <br /> approved. <br /> <br /> Mr. Troy Doby presented the Cabarrus County Master <br /> <br /> Water and Sewer Plan. The total requirement for water and <br /> <br /> sewer is $10,800,000. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walter Safrit, Jr. 'appealed to the Board on behalf of <br /> Cabarrus Meals on Wheels requesting a $5,000.00 contribution <br /> to defray administrative costs. <br /> <br /> Mr. Joe Orland, representing the various school systems <br /> in the county, ~sked the. Board to consider their requests <br /> for additional funds. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of~Commissioner Hammett, seconded by Commis- <br /> sioner Cook and unanimously carried, the Chairman Hawfield <br /> was authorized to'sign an application for federal reimburse- <br /> ment of $7,019.20 for a partial payment of the Environmental <br /> Impact Assessment Report of the Airport Study. <br /> <br /> Flowe's Store Fire District requested a bond election <br /> for the purpose of a' special fire tax. Action was deferred <br /> <br /> <br />
