214 Board took no action on this matter. Mr. Charles D. McGinnis, County Manager, reported that the State Departments of Family Counseling and Pro- bation had indicated a need for additional office space. Mr. John Boger, County Attorney, stated that the County assumed a Statutory obligation to provide offices for these Departments at the time the Courthouse was built. Action was deferred on this issue until the next regular meeting on October 5, 1978. The following bids were received for office furniture: BID CERT. VENDOR BOND O.G. Penegar Company X Williams Office Supply CHECK BASE BID $5,231.80 X $5,619.09 BID/ALL ITEMS BID/ALL ITEMS UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hammett, seconded by Commissioner McClary and unanimously carried, the bid for office furniture was awarded to the low bidder, O.G. Penegar Company. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Cook, seconded by Commissioner Milloway and unanimously carried, September 28, 1978, at 7:30 P.M., Courtroom I, was the time and place set for a public hearing on the County Subdivision Ordinance. Chairman Hawfield requested that the County Attorney, Mr. Boger, publish notice of this hearing in the Concord Tribune. UPON MOTION of Commissioner McClary, seconded by Commissioner Cook and unanimously carried, the following road petitions were approved: request for addition - Red Fox Lane and Silver Fox Lane. The Commissioners deferred taking action on a petition to abandon a portion of Old Highway 73 and a .petition to abandon a portion of Tucker Avenue until an adjourned meeting on September 19, 1978. UPON MOTION of Commissioner McClary, seconded by Commissioner Cook and unanimously carried, the Parking Lot Ordinance was amended to add one additional parking space, which the County Manager allocated for use by judges.
