McGinnis, County Manager, reported <br /> <br />that the State Departments of Family Counseling and Pro- <br />bation had indicated a need for additional office space. <br />Mr. John Boger, County Attorney, stated that the County <br />assumed a Statutory obligation to provide offices for <br />these Departments at the time the Courthouse was built. <br />Action was deferred on this issue until the next regular <br />meeting on October 5, 1978. <br /> <br /> The following bids were received for office furniture: <br /> BID CERT. <br /> <br /> VENDOR BOND <br />O.G. Penegar Company X <br />Williams Office Supply <br /> <br />CHECK BASE BID <br /> $5,231.80 <br />X $5,619.09 <br /> <br />BID/ALL ITEMS <br />BID/ALL ITEMS <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hammett, seconded by <br />Commissioner McClary and unanimously carried, the bid for <br />office furniture was awarded to the low bidder, O.G. <br />Penegar Company. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Cook, seconded by <br />Commissioner Milloway and unanimously carried, September <br />28, 1978, at 7:30 P.M., Courtroom I, was the time and <br />place set for a public hearing on the County Subdivision <br />Ordinance. Chairman Hawfield requested that the County <br />Attorney, Mr. Boger, publish notice of this hearing in <br />the Concord Tribune. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner McClary, seconded by <br /> Commissioner Cook and unanimously carried, the following <br /> road petitions were approved: request for addition - <br /> Red Fox Lane and Silver Fox Lane. <br /> <br /> The Commissioners deferred taking action on a <br /> petition to abandon a portion of Old Highway 73 and <br /> a .petition to abandon a portion of Tucker Avenue until <br /> an adjourned meeting on September 19, 1978. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner McClary, seconded by <br /> Commissioner Cook and unanimously carried, the Parking <br /> Lot Ordinance was amended to add one additional parking <br /> space, which the County Manager allocated for use by <br /> judges. <br /> <br /> <br />
