MT. PLEASANT RURAL FIRE DEPARTMENT, parties of the second part; W I T N E S S E T H : That whereas, all of the parties of the second part are fire departments providing fire protection to the citizens of Cabarrus County within their respective fire districts; and whereas, the parties desire to enter into a contract whereby each of said fire departments will provide fire protection within their fire district and Cabarrus County will pay to each of the said parties of the second part the sum of Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000.00) for the fiscal year 1978-1979 in return for the providing of said fire protection. NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises and the agreements herein made, the parties do agree as follows: 1. That each of the parties of the second part will provide fire protection in their respective fire districts for the citizens of Cabarrus County living in said dis- tricts and will provide such other fire protection as they may be permitted to do by law. 2. For providing said fire protection, Cabarrus County will pay to each of the parties of the second part the sum of Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000.00) for the fiscal year 1978-1979, payable at the rate of Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00) per month.
