Tenant shall provide a stairway or elevator, or both, from <br />the ground floor to the second floor if the Tenant uses the second floor <br />and if it is necessary to construct these facilities outside the walls of <br />the present building, the land necessary for said construction shall <br />be a part of this lease. <br /> 5. Tenant shall be responsible for the maintenance and repair of <br />said building and shall pay all utility costs including heating and air- <br />conditioning. <br /> 6. Tenant shall have the right of access to said building from all <br />streets surrounding said building over the other property owned by Owner <br />and Tenant shall have the right to use the parking area now in existence <br />north of the original Carver School building in common with others using <br />said parking area, except that the Tenant shall have four oarking spaces <br />reserved for use by Tenant or its designees. <br /> 7. McConnell American Legion Post 51 has distinguished <br />itself as a leader in the National American Legion's Law and Order <br />Commission through its annual law and order banquet featuring top state <br />and national speakers, authorities in the field of law enforcement and <br />criminal justice; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on April 17, 1981, Lieutenant Governor James Collins "Jimmy" <br />Gree~ will keynote the 1981 Law and Order Banquet at Fred Y'. McConnell <br />American Legion Post 51; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the banquet will feature presentation of law enforcement officer <br />of the year awards to officers of the Kannapolis and Concord police <br />departments, Cabarrus Sheriff's Department, Cabarrus Unit of the State <br />Highway Patrol and the local police auxiliary selected by their co-workers; <br />and the Robert Eury Memorial Award, given annually to a law enforcement <br />officer with 20 years or more service; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, American Legion Post 51 has invited the general public, as well as <br />state and national legion leaders, law enforcement officers, court and <br />criminal justice personnel and local government and political leaders to the <br />event; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Chief District Judge Robert L. Warren will present the distinguished <br />service awards, North Carolina State Commander Fred N.
