A concentration of low and moderate <br />income families reside in an area of physical decline falling within <br />the jurisdiction of Mount Pleasant. To aid these individuals through <br />community revitalization activities, the Town of Mount Pleasant and <br />Cabarrus County agree to: <br /> <br />Have Cabarrus County submit an In Behalf Of Application for the <br />Town of Mount Pleasant for Community Revitalization funding from <br />the Community Development Block Grant Program being administered <br />by the North Carolina Department of Natural Resources and <br />Community Development. <br /> <br />Have the County of Cabarrus to assemble, submit, and administer the <br />Community Development Program in its entirety. <br /> <br />Have the Town of Mount Pleasant to permit water and sewer taps onto <br />its system, having excess capacity, where appropriate. <br /> <br />Have the Town of Mount Pleasant own, budget, and assess adequate <br />funds to operate and maintain all proposed water and sewer facilities <br />affected by this Community Development Block Grant Proposal. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Cook, seconded by Commissioner Lentz and <br />unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following resolution. <br /> <br /> <br />
