197 <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Nash, seconded by Commissioner Cook and <br />unanimously carried, the Board amended Section D (8) on Page 7 by adding <br />"or other substantial foundation" at the end of the sentence. Section D (8) <br />as amended reads as follows: <br /> <br />(8) <br /> <br />Each mobile home unit that requires the use of fuel oil shall <br />have an oil tank, having the minimum capacity of one hundred <br />fifty (150) gallons, set upon a painted, prefabricated metal <br />stand or other substantial foundation. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Bonds, seconded by Commissioner Lentz and <br />unanimously carried, the Board changed the word "shall" to "should" in the <br />last sentence of Section C (4) on Page 3. The sentence as amended reads <br />as follows: <br /> <br />A hard surface walkway, two (2) feet wide minimum, leading from <br />the road to the patio should be provided. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Nash and <br />unanimously carried, the Board deleted "Roads may or may not be added to the <br />state system" from Section C (10) and deleted the subsections listed as (a) <br />and (b) under Section C (10). Section C (10) as amended reads as follows: <br /> <br />(10) <br /> <br />The roads of the mobile home park shall be paved in accordance <br />with the minimum standards of the North Carolina Department of <br />Transportation. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Nash and <br />unanimously carried, the Board added the following definition as Number 9 <br />of Section A. <br /> <br />(9) <br /> <br />Mobile Home Park: A mobile home park shall be any land used, <br />leased, or rented consisting of at least four (4) acres in size <br />containing at least two (2) mobile homes and fifteen (15) <br />mobile home spaces. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Nash, seconded by Commissioner Cook and <br />unanimously carried, the Board amended the fourth line of Section C (2) <br />on Page 2 to insert the word "space" between the words "home" and "shall" <br />as recommended by the County Attorney. The sentence as amended reads as <br />follows. <br /> <br />A double-wide home space shall'consist of a minimum of 6,000 square <br />feet and shall have a width of at least 60 feet at the location of <br />the mobile home. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Nash, seconded by Commissioner Lentz and <br />unanimously carried, the Board added the following provision as Number 20 <br />under Section C. <br /> <br />(20) Each mobile home unit shall have a substantially constructed <br /> set of steps at the front and rear entrance. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Nash, seconded by Commissioner Cook and <br />unanimously carried, the Board moved to strike the words "until said roads <br />are added .to the state system" from Certificate 10 of the Appendix. <br />Certificate 10 as amended reads as follows. <br /> <br />(10) <br /> <br />Certificate of Street Responsibility in Mobile Home Parks: <br />I (we) the owner(s) developer(s) will incur all responsibility <br />for the maintenance of the roads in <br />Mobile Home Park. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Nash, seconded by Commissioner Lentz and <br />unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following Mobile Home Park Ordinance <br />as amended. <br /> <br /> <br />
